Preliminary name check with the state
When you submit an order to BizFilings, we ask that you provide two name choices for your company. We then check the availability of these names in the state where you wish to form your business. If the name choices are not available, a member of our customer service team will contact you for additional name choices. Final approval of the use of your desired name is conducted by the proper state authority upon submission of your formation documents. |

Preparation & filing of formation documents
BizFilings prepares and files your articles of incorporation or articles of organization with the appropriate state agency in the state of formation. When the state has approved the formation of your business, BizFilings sends the state documents with proof of formation to you. These documents are also scanned into our Online Corporate Status Center where you have 24/7 online access to and the ability to download them. The timeframe for receiving approved documents from the state varies by state. Typical completion time is 4-6 weeks, unless expedited processing is selected. |

Order audited for compliance
BizFilings
will audit your order to ensure the information you provide complies
with state requirements. Examples of this include whether you provided
an appropriate type of name ending, and whether you included the necessary
director and/or officer information, if that information is required
in your intended state of formation. If any necessary information is
missing or incorrect, a member of our Customer Service Team will notify
you. |

6 months free registered agent service
BizFilings will provide registered
agent service in the state in which you are forming your business free
for the first 6 months. The registered agent must have a physical address
in the state of formation and is responsible for receiving important
legal and tax documents including service of process, franchise tax
forms, and annual report forms. After the first 6 months your company will be
billed $139 annually for this service.
When choosing BizFilings as your registered agent, you will also
gain free access to BizComply - an online tool created to assist you
with the state-imposed requirements and regulations often overlooked

Kit & Seal
Corporations and LLCs are subject to a number of formalities after they are formed. BizFilings' kits includes a number of the necessities for helping your company comply with these formalities.

Tax ID (EIN) obtainment
BizFilings can obtain your federal tax ID number (also called Employer Identification Number or EIN) from the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of your business.
The Tax ID (EIN) number obtainment upgrade is only available for non-US clients who can provide a valid social security number or individual tax identification number (ITIN). If you do not have a social security number, you must obtain an ITIN from the IRS prior to being able to apply for the EIN for your business. To obtain an ITIN from the IRS, you must complete IRS Form W-7 and mail it to the IRS. Click here to print Form W-7 and the associated instruction sheet. BizFilings does not assist with the preparation of Form W-7 or the obtainment of the ITIN.

Mail Forwarding Service (DE and NV only)
With Mail Forwarding Service, you receive a street address (not a P.O. Box) that you can list as your business address. Mail received at this address on behalf of your company will be forwarded to you weekly. You need only pay the cost of each forward.
Service includes:
- 12 months of Mail Forwarding Service
- Receipt of a physical street address and unique box/suite number
- Weekly forwards of letters, signature-requested letters, and small packages
- A valid credit card must be kept on file for postage costs (DE) or your postage deposit account will be charged for each forward (NV)
